Duchess of Richmond's Ball

On 15 June 1815, just prior to the Battle of Waterloo, the Duchess of Richmond organized a ball in Brussels for the officers of Wellington’s army and distinguished guests.

Nearly 200 years later, the Ball has been revived and monies raised are used to help charities supporting British and Belgian citizens, including the BCF. The last ball, which raised over 50,000 euros, was held on June 13th 2015.

There will be no ball in 2016, but for future events please see http://www.dorb.be

"There was a sound of revelry by night and Belgium's capital had gathered then her beauty and her chivalry, and bright the lamps shone o'er fair women and brave men"
